Justin starts with "J"

Justin has been practicing and can now spell his name out loud and write his name. After mowing our grass yesterday, he gathered up some grass and made a "J" in the wheelbarrow.

Shed/garage

Today (Friday) our roof shingles were put on and right now the workers are working on the siding. Our builder said our shed / garage should be done by the middle of next week. After it is done, we need to finish the electrical work and then start on the shelves. Then, we can clean out our basement and hopefully finish a guest room (within the next 5 years)! :-) So exciting!

Remembering James

My older brother, James, would have turned 40 today. I miss him more than I could ever express. I am thankful for his amazing wife and 5 wonderful children.
On a happier note, our little Brianna is now 18 months old, which means she can now go to nursery! She is so much fun to have around and sometimes she just makes us laugh!
And, a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a Heather, a wonderful sister-in-law. Hope you are able to have the great day that you deserve!

Carriage ride

In November 2008, Lon & I bought a carriage ride at an auction to benefit a boy in our ward who had cancer for the 2nd time. We are all very excited that he now has his mission call and will be going to Colorado Springs, CO, where his cancer doctor is so that he can go in for check-ups. Anyway, we decided to use our coupon while my parents & Ashley were here visiting.

We saw some llamas on our trip and the horses were not too thrilled about them.

Shed day 2

This is after 1 1/2 days of mainly 2 men building our shed. We are amazed how fast it is going up. They don't come and work on it every day, so when they come next week, we hope they are able to finish it up.

Alligators!

While my parents & Ashley were here, we went to see the alligators in Hagerman, which is about 15 minutes away from Wendell.

Let construction begin!

The walls of our new 24' X 30' shed went up today. We are excited to have more room for our yard tools, bikes and our 12 passenger van.
