Pioneer Trek

Tyler, Joshua & I (Tiffany) went on the pioneer trek at the Willie Center. It was a 10 mile trek and had 3 big water crossings and several littler water crossings. The women's pull was a lot easier this year than last year when we went with our ward on the trek (6 mile). And, there were not as many mosquitoes this year.

Eating lunch. After lunch, we had a water fight with squirt bottles.

After each river crossing, we raced up the river and floated back down, just to cool off.

South Dakota Soccer

South Dakota Soccer is like rugby with a soccer ball. We all tried to take the soccer ball away from who ever had it.

It was a lot of fun but by the end of the game, most of us probably had at least two bruises. Slide tackling was a lot of fun to do to other people.
After playing it turned into wrestling. The five oldest boys tried to pin Uncle Troy.
While the boys are tried to pin Uncle Troy, everybody else watched on the side lines.

Jewel Cave & Road Trip

On the way to South Dakota, we (Tiffany, Josh & Tyler) saw a lot of wild donkey's. They were all over the road! We stopped along the road to take pictures and we petted them. They were so cute!

We also saw so many buffalo! They all took their time to cross the road. One buffalo that I saw was a lot bigger than the rest. They were cool to watch.

We also went to Jewel Caves. The tour begins at the visitor center with an elevator ride into the cave. We followed a paved, lighted path and climbed up and down more than 700 stairs! It was 49 degrees in the caves! It was so cold!

This is a picture of what it looks like underground in the caves. There was so much moisture in the air!

I thought that this was pretty cool!

In the picture above, you can tell that there was some red and different colors in the cave. In a different part of the cave there was something that looked just like bacon. It was 20 feet long! I really liked the caves.

Crazy Horse

Tyler, Josh, and I (Tiffany) also went to Crazy Horse Monument the same day we went to Mt. Rushmore. It was a lot of fun!

Below is a picture of what Crazy Horse Monument is supposed to look like when it is finished (white). Behind it is what it looks like right now.

The way that they earn money for the making of Crazy Horse is only donations, that is why it is not very close to being done. They also say that it is supposed to be larger than Mt. Rushmore when it is finished!!

Mt. Rushmore

Tyler, Joshua, and I (Tiffany) got to go with our Uncle Paul and Aunt Wendy to Mt. Rushmore. On our way there we stayed the night in a friend's front yard in Buffalo, WY. Then we were on our way! We had a great time! I wish that I could visit Mt. Rushmore again sometime. We were at Mt. Rushmore on June 29, 2009.

While we were there, there were workers sending fireworks up to the top, using a zip line, for the fourth of July fireworks celebration.

We decided to take a picture of everybody that went. Just right over the edge was about a 250 foot fall!

This is me ( Tiffany) in front of Mt. Rushmore. It was a very busy day!

Grandma Egbert, Tiffany, Aunt Lisa, Cortney, Hailey, Makayla, Morgan, and Grandpa Egbert decided that we wanted to go and climb up the mountain close to our camp and watch the lighting of Mt. Rushmore. We started to climb at about 10:00 pm.

1st place in softball!

June through July I (Tiffany) had softball games. My team won 1st place!!! I played mainly 2nd base. This is the second year that a team I have played on has won 1st place!

Rock climbing

Troy and Aspen came to Idaho after going to Mt. Rushmore and the Pioneer trek in Wyoming. While they were in Idaho, they took Tyler rock climbing, which he really enjoyed. We were all pretty impressed with the rock climbing pictures and even more impressed when Troy sent us the one he fixed using Photoshop.
