Camping!
On Thursday night (May 21st), Lon came home from work and said, "Let's go camping!" So, that is what we did. Friday was a whirlwind getting clothes washed & packed, meals planned, camping stuff packed, etc. We went camping at Crystal Hot Springs between Tremonton & Brigham City, UT. We enjoyed the hot water pools and the hydrotubes on Saturday. We also enjoyed watching the Medieval sword fighters, who camped behind us. After camping, we drove to Wellsville and went to church with Paul, Wendy & family. On Monday, we helped Lon's sister, Becca & her family, move into their new home. We really enjoyed our Memorial Day weekend! (If you want to see the pictures better, clicking on them will make them larger).

Happy 16th, Tyler!
Happy Birthday, Tyler! Tyler can now officially drive by himself at night (he has had his license since December but could only drive at night with another licensed driver with him). And, he can now officially group date. Thanks for being such an obedient son who is such a good, hard worker and willing to help out. Thanks for not complaining about getting up every morning at 5 a.m. (for the last 5 years) to do your paper route. We are very proud of you!

Happy 40th, Lon!
On the eve of Lon's 40th birthday, I was up kind-of late working on some digital scrapbook pages (because it was quiet and I could concentrate w/o interruptions). Anyway, it seemed like all the neighborhood dogs (including ours) had been barking for at least 10 minutes (which is not unusual). Anyway, our bedroom window was open and I heard the rocks move right outside the window and our dogs started barking even more. I thought it was an animal until about a minute later, I heard the rocks move again and my heart sank into my stomach. I turned off the lights and peeked out my window and was SCARED TO DEATH to see a man crouching around Lon's car. My first thought was, "OH no, he is going to steal Lon's car right in front of us". So, I quietly woke up Lon. He peeked out the window and then started screaming at whoever it was, who ran quickly away. We proceeded to turn on all of our outside lights and call 911. When I was on the phone with 911, I looked out the front window and..................saw that we had been toilet papered and there were headstones in our front yard. So, I told the guy at 911 not to worry about sending an officer, but I was thankful it was just toilet paper and not someone actually trying to steal our car. Anyway, after about 5 minutes, Lon just had to see what was outside and this is what we found...........

3 on 3 basketball
Josh and 3 of his friends participated in 3 on 3 basketball on May 30th. The basketball games were held at CSI (College of Southern Idaho) in Twin Falls on parking lots. They won 1 game and lost 2 games. They had a lot of fun!
Josh is the one about to catch the ball!

8th grade graduation
On May 26th, Joshua was less than thrilled to go to his 8th grade graduation, but we insisted on it. The girls dressed up nice (though mainly immodest) and most of the boys wore nice shirts, but only a few had ties on. There are 72 people in his class. This was a lot more casual than my 8th grade graduation many years ago. I sure wish I had a picture to share, but I don't (and I am sure my Mom will make sure she scans one for me)! Anyway, here are the 2 of 3 pictures we took.
